BuMove ("we", "us") lets you track fitness activity, connect with sporting partners, and compete with others. This policy explains what we collect and your choices. We built the app to collect as little as possible and never to sell your data.
Account: email, username, date of birth (to confirm you are 18+), and the location you provide (country, state/region, city, and postal code). Fitness activity: steps, distance, and active calories, synced from your device's health platform (Apple Health / Health Connect) or read from fitness screenshots you choose to upload. Content you create: posts, comments, photos, short videos, voice messages, direct and group chat messages, tags/mentions, challenges, teams, and a profile photo. Social data: your partners, teams, and challenge participation. Technical: a device push token, your subscription status, and basic device/usage information. Analytics & diagnostics (only if you consent): app-usage analytics and crash reports via Google Firebase. These never include your health data.
No heart rate, HRV, sleep, weight, BMI, or body measurements. No GPS routes and no precise or background location. We don't mine your photos: screenshots uploaded to read metrics have their image location data (EXIF) stripped.
You may add a profile photo and post photos, short videos, and voice messages in the community feed and in chats. This content is visible to the audience you share it with. Only post media you have the right to share, and don't post images of other people without their consent.
To operate your account; show your progress, points, leaderboards, challenges, teams, and the activity feed; deliver messages and notifications; show pro-sports fixtures and results; process subscriptions; and, only with your consent, improve the app through analytics and fix problems via crash reports. We do NOT sell your data and do NOT use health data for advertising.
We store a device push token to send you notifications. You can turn notifications off anytime in your device settings.
Supabase (database, auth, storage, hosting), Google Firebase (push delivery and, with consent, analytics and crash reporting), Expo (push delivery), our email provider, RevenueCat and the app stores (subscription processing), and a third-party sports-data provider for public fixtures/results (we send it no personal data). We do not sell personal data.
Your username, profile photo, and location may be visible to other users. You can make your profile private so only your accepted partners can see your activity and badges.
We and app administrators may review and remove content that violates our Terms, and may suspend or ban accounts. You can delete your own content at any time.
You can export or delete your data at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, restrict, or object. Contact us to exercise them.
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, enforce per-user access controls, and keep your data only while your account is active or as required by law.
BuMove is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
We operate globally. Your data may be processed in countries other than yours, with appropriate safeguards.
We will update this policy as needed and revise the date above.
